We are recruiting a Reviewing Officer at Caerphilly County Borough Council.Working hours: 37 hoursContract Type: PermanentLocation: Rhymney Integrated Health and Social Care Centre. Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider North Older Peoples Team.We pay an attractive salary of £30,559 - £33,366 and offer access to training and development opportunities.We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is committed to working with older people.
The team delivers services to older adults aged 65 years and over, who have mental health or physical health needs, and their carer’s. The post will involve working with older adults to help them find appropriate solutions at times of difficulty, as well as in the long term. It will also entail safeguarding individuals from abuse and neglect. Additionally, the role will entail working closely with care providers (care agencies, residential & nursing homes etc.) and other professionals (District nurses, Community Psychiatric nurses, GP’s, O.T’s etc.).
The post holder will undertake reviews, low level assessments, care management and also contribute to the duty rota within the team. The team has an established culture of teamwork where staff are very supportive of each other. The team consists of Social Workers and Reviewing Officers. The successful candidate will receive a structured induction and regular formal as well as informal supervision.
