We are recruiting Senior Practitioners at Caerphilly County Borough Council.Working hours: 37 hours Contract Type: Permanent / Full TimeLocation: Various locations within the boroughCaerphilly County Borough Council's Children Services Locality Teams are looking for full time Senior Practitioners in Caerphilly East, Bargoed and Risca Teams.We pay an attractive salary of £40,221 - £43,421, with an additional £3,441 annual market supplement, to be paid in 12 instalments alongside the salary, and offer access to training and development opportunities.
We are seeking to appoint dynamic, experienced and enthusiastic practitioners to become part of our progressive and creative teams.The successful candidates will hold a more complex caseload, be able to offer support, mentoring and supervision to team members, monitor team performance, assist the Team Manager, and deputise when required. The Teams undertake high quality assessments and planning for children and their families who require on going social services intervention. You must possess a Diploma/Degree in Social Work or predecessor and be registered as a Social Worker with Social Care Wales (or able to transfer from another recognised body). The current registration requirements state that completion of the Consolidation of Practice qualification within your first 3 years of practice is mandatory (if you qualified after 1st April 2016). Failure to successfully complete this qualification will result in you being unable to renew your Social Work Registration or practice as a Social Worker.
