We are recruiting a Mental Health Worker at Caerphilly County Borough Council.Working hours: 37 hours per week (Monday - Thursday 08:30 – 17:00, Friday 08.30 - 16:30)Contract Type: Permanent, Full TimeLocation: Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Community Mental Health Support ServiceWe pay an attractive salary of £26,421 - £28,770 and offer access to training and development opportunities.The team work in an agile manner and work alongside external agencies including Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. The team works with service users aged 18 and over and focus on supporting those with mental health conditions who live in the community to enable them to live fulfilled and independent lives.
As part of a multi-disciplinary team the Mental Health Worker will work with individuals to develop and maintain healthy routine, structure and self-help skills to improve their recovery and the quality of their lives, facilitating them to make informed choices and take responsibility towards increased well-being and independence. The Mental Health Worker, alongside the individual, will plan and implement programmes of activity to meet the service users identified needs and outcomes and regular review these in response to, and in order to evidence, change.
Experience within the field of mental health and neurodivergence would be advantageous, but more importantly someone who has the skills, ability, and commitment to make a difference to the lives of our service users, their families and carers.
